We’ve already announced a stack of exciting young comedians, writers, musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, and general game-changers that are heading to Canberra to take part in Junket this year, and we’re excited to announce even more.
Junket is our flagship event, designed to get together some of Australia’s sharpest young minds and create a space where they can share ideas and discuss solutions to some of the big issues facing our generation.
The attendee list is full of high-profile people from Australia’s entertainment, tech, music, medicine, arts, media, sport, politics, business, fashion, human rights scenes. So far we’ve announced that James Mathison, Benjamin Law, Demi Lardner, Tom Ballard and Samantha Strauss will be taking part in Junket.
Now we can announce that YouTube personality Friendlyjordies, known for his satirical political takedowns, hip hop artist L-FRESH The LION and the creative director of pop art design label FRIDA LAS VEGAS aka Stavroula Adameitis will also be heading to Junket.
They’ll be joined by the co-founder and co-CEO of Project Rockit Rosie Thompson, founder and director of Secret Garden Clare Downes, community strategist and disruptive innovation specialist Lauren Capelin, Hello Sunday Morning CEO Chris Raine, experimental philosopher Eddie Haran, CEO of YVote Skye Riggs, feminist and sex worker Lucie Bee, director of YLab Dhakshy Soorikakumaran, wheelchair basketball player Amber Merritt, photographer Pat Stevenson, professional netballer Sharni Layton, social entrepreneur Zac Miguel, plus many more.
The Australian National University, located in Canberra, is a proud partner of Junket and one of their alumni, Alan Wu, will be delivering the Closing Address to the delegates.
Even though the delegates come from very different backgrounds, their mission is the same: to ignite discussion and inspire change on issues of national importance and help set the agenda for Australia’s future.
